Portrait of the Artist
On display from May 31 through July 4! This exhibit, made up of self-portraits created by area artists, opened on May 31 with a free, public opening reception. All are welcome to come view and enjoy the artwork during our regular business hours.
A self-portrait is an artistic representation of oneself, created by the artist. It can be made in various mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, or digital art. Self-portraits go beyond simply capturing a likeness; they often reflect the artist’s emotions, identity, and personal perspective. Some self-portraits are highly realistic, while others may be abstract, symbolic, or experimental, offering insight into the artist’s inner world and creative vision.
