*Please use the back door when delivering artwork. Our main gallery will be undergoing construction and the front entrance will be inaccessible.  Our back entrance is located behind the building and features a mural of artists at work.  

 

Exhibit dates: January 12 - February 16, 2019

Opening Reception: Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 7:00 PM

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. There is no entry fee.  All artwork which meets the guidelines set below will be displayed at the discretion of the BCA staff.

  2. You may submit up to two pieces.

  3. Two-dimensional entries must be presented framed, on panel, or on gallery-wrapped canvas, and must be appropriately wired for hanging.  Please, no sawtooth hangers

  4. Three-dimensional works may not exceed 60” in any direction and may not exceed 50 lbs in weight.  They must also be able to sit flatly, unassisted on a pedestal, free-stand, or be mounted on the wall.  Three-dimensional pieces which are wall-mounted must be appropriately wired. 

  5. Acceptable print mediums include any which are created and reproducible with matrices (woodcuts, block prints, etchings, screen prints, dry point, lithography, etc.) as well as monoprints.  Only original, hand-pulled entries will be accepted. 

  6. Collage refers to images with adhered elements composed to form a new image, and may include found imagery, paper cuts, marbleized paper, paint, and more. For the purposes of this exhibit, photographs will not be accepted unless combined with other elements in collage. We will be holding a separate photography exhibit later in 2019 to feature fine art photography.

  7. Digital prints, digital collages and photomontages will not be accepted.  We emphasize hand-created work for this exhibit.

  8. Belton Center for the Arts will retain 30% commission on artwork sold during the duration of the exhibit.  Please price your work accordingly.

  9. Please drop off and pick up artwork in a timely fashion.  Late entries cannot be accepted.  We are unable to store artwork left after the pickup window.
