The Great Eclipse
Please submit entries using the form below. This step is not required, but is appreciated.
On August 21, 2017, America will witness the first total solar eclipse visible in almost four decades. One of the best places to view it? Belton, South Carolina. Belton will experience two minutes and 37 seconds of darkness as the Earth spins in the shadow of the moon. The sun will appear as an orange ring around the moon.
Belton Center for the Arts is hosting a public exhibition to commemorate this momentous scientific phenomenon as it occurs in our city. All works included in this exhibition will be themed around the Great Eclipse.
All artists aged 18 or older are eligible to enter up to two pieces.
Subject matter must reflect the theme of the Great Eclipse.
Submitted artwork must be wired, framed, and ready to hang.
Each piece must be clearly labeled on the back with the artist’s name, title, medium, and price (if for sale), or marked NFS (if not for sale).
Artwork may not exceed 48” in any direction.
Belton Center for the Arts reserves the right to refuse any artwork that does not meet these requirements at its own discretion.
No entry fee is required.
Works for Sale
Belton Center for the Arts will receive 30% of all works sold during the length of the exhibition. Works designated NFS will be labeled as such.
